ALL CAPS Coffee is a roaster in Chester, in the North West of England, started in 2021 by people who had already spent years roasting in the industry. The business grew out of “a passion for truly tasty coffee & fun branding”: it roasts all its coffee on its Giesen roaster and ships it in “fun, sustainable packaging”. Orders are roasted and posted on Wednesdays and Fridays.

The line-up runs from crisp washed lots to juicy naturals. Edinson Argote’s Quebraditas farm in Huila, Colombia, supplies Castillo Haze through the UK importer Mi Cafe. The yeast-inoculated washed Castillo is ALL CAPS’ take on “the coffee equivalent of a sessionable IPA”. The house coffee is a natural Red Bourbon from the sisters Maria Valéria and Maria Rogéria Pereira in Carmo de Minas, Brazil, roasted for espresso with or without milk, and the decaf is a sugarcane-processed coffee from Popayán in Cauca. Some lots also come in 100g bags, for anyone who likes several coffees in rotation.

ALL CAPS also supplies independent cafés and bakeries wholesale, with flexible order quantities and a sign-up portal. Its Las Gaviotas, a washed Caturra from a women’s cooperative led by Ana Gloria Rodriguez in Huila, is one of the coffees it supplies to cafés. Gord, a long-standing school friend brought into the business, leads production and quality control at the roastery.
