Zennor is a Glasgow coffee roaster with a café just east of Glasgow Green and the Barras. The café is bright and spacious, meant for casual mornings, slow lunches and mid-day coffee breaks. Its coffee menu is a rotating list of seasonal single origins served as espresso, filter or pour-over, and the kitchen makes breakfast plates, lunch specials, bakes and pastries in house. Retail beans are on sale in the café.
The roaster splits its coffees into three groups. The core collection is fresh-crop coffee from producers it returns to season after season, bought in larger volumes for consistency: the house coffee is currently a natural from smallholders in Anasora, Ethiopia, built for espresso and filter alike, the feature coffee a natural from Sookoo Coffee’s Dambi Uddo station, and the house decaf a sugarcane decaf from 175 smallholder farming families in Colombia. Seasonal micro lots are small-volume coffees chosen for their variety, processing and cup profile, such as a natural Pacamara from Isaac Luna’s Finca El Poso in El Salvador and a washed Gesha from Miguel Lopez in Peru. The Rare & Limited line holds very small lots of rare varieties and new processing, among them two La Dinastía coffees from Colombia, made by Wilder Lazo with Heiner Lasso and with Segundo Lasso, and a 777 anaerobic natural Gesha from the Ureña family’s La Chumeca in Costa Rica.
Zennor also runs wholesale accounts and equipment supply for businesses, and sells filter papers for home brewing.
