Daye Bensa (Keramo, Ethiopia) by Morrow

Overview

These very special beans come from the high Bombe mountains in Keramo. The altitude of up to 2,360 meters above sea level makes it one of the highest-elevation coffees from Ethiopia, giving a slow maturation that produces very dense beans.

This particular washed Keramo variety comes from carefully selected ripe cherries. They are washed for 36 to 72 hours to ferment and then dried on covered African beds for 9 to 12 days with around 10% moisture when the sun is high.

Daye Bensa is an outgrower group comprising over 1,500 farmers in Keramo.
