Cultura is a neighbourhood café in East Belfast, under the line “Elevating the everyday”. Each month its team tastes a wide selection of coffees from roasters and producers, and the best lots go on the bar. A one-kilo bulk bag of whichever coffee is the café’s current core espresso is sold for home baristas.

The same selection goes out as Curated, a monthly subscription of 200 to 250g bags with filter and espresso recipes for each coffee in a subscriber portal, delivered across the UK and Ireland.

Beyond daily service, Cultura has run The Art of Brewing, two-hour courses for home brewers on filter or on espresso, with cupping, brewing demonstrations and an introduction to extraction theory. It has also hosted Omakase evenings, four-course coffee tastings for 24 guests, espresso, milk, handbrew and a signature drink, built on the format of the World Barista and World Brewers Cup championships. The café is available for private events, from space rental to a full menu created for the occasion.

The espresso on the bar is a washed Ethiopian roasted by Special Guests in Belfast, and the Curated subscription draws on a rotating roster of roasters across Europe.
