Go Get Em Tiger has been a Los Angeles coffee company since 2013. Its roots include G&B Coffee, which Kyle Glanville and Charles Babinski started as a pop-up inside Sqirl in Virgil Village. G&B opened its first permanent coffee bar at Grand Central Market in the summer of 2013, and the first Go Get Em Tiger opened in Larchmont Village later that year. Both co-founders are barista champions: Glanville won the U.S. Barista Championship in 2008, and Babinski won it in 2015 and was runner-up at the World Barista Championship the same year.
Go Get Em Tiger roasts in Los Angeles, and through its Roasted at Origin programme it now has select coffees roasted in the countries where they are grown, to profiles developed together with the producers. The coffee is shipped as a finished product, with transit of about 10 to 30 days, so it reaches the cup closer to harvest and more of the value stays at origin. The goal is to roast 20% of its coffee at origin by the end of 2026 and 70% by the end of 2027, while roasting in Los Angeles continues, including coffees from Africa and Asia. Bags roasted at origin carry a red sticker.
Larchmont was the only Go Get Em Tiger for its first few years, until Los Feliz opened; it keeps bar-style service and serves breakfast and lunch. Los Feliz is set back from the boulevard, with a patio among olive trees. The Grand Central Market bar is a 360-degree counter serving drinks and pastries. There are also shops in Hollywood, the newest, in Highland Park and at ROW in the Arts District, and two in Culver City, one at the One Culver building and one at Ivy Station. Most have a full food and drink menu.
The Sprudgie Awards named Go Get Em Tiger a notable roaster in 2018.
