Round Hill Roastery was founded in Somerset in 2012 with a simple purpose: to deliver clarity and consistency from farm to cup. It is a small team that showcases single-estate coffees and sells them online and to wholesale customers.

The offer list works as a seasonal menu that changes with harvest cycles around the world: coffee is a fruit, and Round Hill buys it in season. Sourcing is built around key relationship coffees from farms and producers that Round Hill has bought from for close to a decade. It commits to buying house coffees at volume from single estates or cooperatives, alongside a catalogue of its smaller, rarer lots, and pays well over C-market prices. Microlots of unusual varieties, new origins and experimental processes sit beside the core range.

Roasting is on a direct-flame Probat, pairing traditional flame roasting with a Scandinavian-inspired approach that favours clarity, brightness and origin character, in an expressive style aimed at sweet, fruity and vibrant cups. Unit Fourteen is the house espresso and Entre Ríos the house filter, both bought in line with the seasons, and Circles is a year-round single-producer espresso. Most single lots are sold in both a filter and an espresso roast. The roastery has eliminated roasted coffee waste, packs its coffee in recyclable, carbon-neutral letterbox bags developed with Dutch Pack, and delivers to local wholesale customers in reusable tubs.
