Wildflour Vegan Bakery and Café opened in 2010 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, next to its sister restaurant Garden Grille. The counter carries baked goods and pastries, savoury options, smoothies and fresh juice beside its signature coffee drinks, and custom cakes, cupcakes and larger pastry orders are made with a few days’ notice.
The coffee is roasted by New Harvest Coffee Roasters in Providence. Hot coffee and café au lait use New Harvest blends, the straight espresso is New Harvest’s Monster espresso blend, and the cold brew is New Harvest’s Steam Roller dark roast, with nitro coffee served from a nitro cart. The espresso drinks run from cortado and cappuccino to lattes built on house syrups: pumpkin, oatmeal cookie, cardamom, peanut butter, and a Rhode Island coffee milk latte made with a house coffee milk syrup. There is an espresso and tonic with lavender syrup and Yacht Club tonic. Oat, almond, coconut and flax milks appear across the drinks list.
The food menu runs through muffins, scones and breads, cookies, cupcakes, whole cakes and cake by the slice, brownies and bars, soup and chilli, made-to-order sandwiches, toasts and salads, puddings, parfaits and oatmeal, and granola, with gluten-free, nut-free and soy-free items marked. New Harvest Coffee Roasters roasts for Wildflour.
