Drop is “a 3rd wave coffee company” established in 2016, with its café at Al Khawaneej Walk in Al Khawaneej, and its slogan is “Source it, brew it, enjoy it”. Espresso drinks come with a choice of single origin, from a plain espresso, piccolo and cortado to a flat white and a Spanish latte, and the manual bar brews Chemex, V60 and cold drip on the same choice. The house drinks run to an iced hibiscus, a cold drip spritz, a tiramisu cream latte, a matcha latte, coconut and blue matcha clouds and the Dirty Drop espresso, with a short list of black, green, white and herbal teas.
The kitchen serves an all-day breakfast on home-made sourdough: cucumber with lemon labneh and spicy honey, smoked turkey, a home-made tuna spread with yuzu kosho mayonnaise, avocado with yuzu cream cheese, and almond butter with raspberry jam, blackberries and roasted pumpkin seeds, alongside Greek yoghurt and açaí bowls. The cakes run from a macapuno coconut cake, a Kinder chocolate cake and strawberry and raspberry, Oreo and chocolate cheesecakes to tiramisu, date rolls and date cinnamon rolls, with madeleines and brownies beside them.
Whole beans from Ethiopia and Brazil are sold to take home, along with Drop mugs and water bottles, and orders go out through Talabat, DriveU and Deliveroo.
