Comobå is a café in Cais do Sodré for “food. coffee. matcha. bar.” Its coffee is fair trade and organic, roasted in small batches by its partners at Sgt. Martinho. The baristas pour the classic coffee menu alongside a range of matcha drinks and Comobå originals that change through the year, and the milks are made in house from almonds, coconut and rice.
The food is homemade from seasonal produce bought from local suppliers, without processed foods or refined sugars, and the menu changes every couple of weeks under a team of chefs from several countries. The kitchen does not work with meat, because of the meat industry’s impact on the environment, and there are vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes, from matcha pancakes and chia porridge to Atlantic fish tacos, a mushroom miso toast and a macro bowl with tempeh and hummus.
The room is available for birthdays, supper clubs and company events, either as a venue alone or with the Comobå kitchen and bar team. The online shop sells matcha, Prana Chai and whole cakes such as banana bread and carrot cake.
