OddKin Coffee Roasters roasts at a roastery in Hengrove, and the doors are open for a coffee and for beans to take home. The business was started by Joe, an entrepreneur from hospitality; Jess is head roaster and Christina head of coffee.
The coffees are single origins bought through direct farm relationships and import partners such as Cofinet in Colombia, alongside house blends and two lower-caffeine coffees, a single-origin half caf from Popayán and a 60/40 low-caf blend. The current coffees are labelled with origin, region, altitude, process, variety and a roast profile for espresso or omni. Blend Friends is a series of collaborative blends with other roasters, the first made with Full Court Press and a later one with North Star in Leeds.
The roastery is also a training space. OddKin runs SCA Barista Skills courses at foundation and intermediate level, a Latte Art 101 milk steaming workshop and an espresso workshop, and it sells home and commercial equipment from Victoria Arduino, Sage, Baratza and others. It also sells The Fermentation Project, four coffees from one lot processed four ways with the fermentation consultant Lucia Solis. OddKin was head sponsor of the Bristol Coffee Festival in 2025.
