Vivina’s Café started in 2019 with a moka pot and two people who loved coffee, and has grown from a small café into a brunch spot and roastery a minute from Egyetem tér in the Belváros. Its aim is “Közérthetővé tesszük a specialty kávét”, making specialty coffee easy to understand. In 2026 it was placed 79th in Europe’s 100 Best Coffee Shops.
Winning The Barista League in 2022 took the team to Colombia, where it met coffee farmers, and it has now bought from Yenifer Rojas in Huila for three years. Vivina roasts in small batches several times a week on its own micro-roaster. Most of its single origins can be ordered as an espresso roast or a filter roast, and the range has come from Colombia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Guatemala, Peru, Mexico, Indonesia and Brazil. The Palermo blend is a medium roast of Brazilian coffee for an Italian-style espresso, and every year Vivina picks one coffee as its Christmas coffee.
The kitchen serves brunch, with eggs Benedict on the menu, and every product in the webshop can also be bought in the café. Vivina also sells beans to companies, runs home barista courses and takes a coffee bar to weddings under the name Cup of Love, with its own roasts, milk from producers and plant-based and lactose-free milks.
