4minutes cafe is a vegan coffee and tea bar in Buda’s Castle District. The name stands for four minutes to stop, give yourself time and be present. Paper cranes belong to the place: in Japan the crane is a symbol of long life, a thousand folded cranes are held to make a wish come true, and guests can fold their own at the café. The room is small and white, with a long wooden bench, pale wooden lamps and shelves of ceramics.
The coffee comes from La Cabra. Beside it, a hand-brew list carries rare filter lots: washed and natural geishas from Colombia and Peru, including the 2025 Peru Cup of Excellence winner, a Sudan Rume from Valle del Cauca and a natural community lot from Sidama in Ethiopia. There is filter cacao too.
The teas include wild teas from Zhao Zhou, with Chinese and Taiwanese, Japanese and black teas and herbal infusions on the list. Cold-pressed fruit and vegetable juices and raw vegan cakes complete the menu. The shelves double as a shop, with 4minutes’ own ceramics and tea textiles, Kinto pieces, matcha tools and coffee and tea brewing gear.
4minutes does not roast; La Cabra roasts its coffee.
