LOT61 is a coffee roaster with two coffee bars on the island of Malta, one in Valletta and one at Spinola Park in St Julian’s. Its mission is “to awaken people to the joy of craft”.

The green coffee is bought from the current harvest on farms in different parts of the world, then sample roasted, graded and checked before it is roasted for sale. The roasting happens twice a week on a Giesen at the roastery in Burmarrad, by hand: “There is no auto-pilot with craft roasting.” The coffee goes out the same week to cafés, hotels, restaurants, offices and households, and to more than 40 coffee shops across Malta and Gozo. LOT61 has committed to becoming a circular coffee brand, with sustainability built into how the business runs.

Brew guides cover the moka pot, V60, espresso, Chemex, French press and AeroPress, and the shop sells coffee and brewing equipment alongside the beans.
