Vicky Coffee is an independent roaster in Gozo, run by its founder and managing director, George Larry Zammit. Its ethos is “Sourcing and roasting exceptional coffee beans responsibly, while bringing people and businesses together over a great cup of coffee.” The roastery is inside Victoria Central, a coffeehouse and kitchen in Victoria, and is billed as Gozo’s only coffee roastery.

The bar at Victoria Central brews single origins from Ethiopia, Tanzania, Guatemala and Colombia on V60, Chemex and AeroPress, including a honey-processed Colombian geisha and a thermal-shock Colombia. The espresso list runs from cortado to flat white, there is a cold brew menu, and the Maltese coffee is a traditional blend with chicory, clove and aniseed, served as a French press. The kitchen serves food alongside, and non-dairy milk is available.

The roastery runs a two-hour cupping workshop: an introduction to coffee origins and processing, sample roasting with a look at roasting profiles, a guided cupping and hands-on brewing, including traditional Maltese coffee, with an SCA-certified host and roaster. Private groups and team events can book their own sessions.
