Loaf is a sourdough bakehouse and coffee shop that started in Gżira. A second café opened in Sliema in March 2026, in a quiet alley, and a third on the Ta’ Xbiex seafront in April 2026. There are no reservations.
The Ta’ Xbiex café adds a full brunch menu built on the bakery’s croissant dough and sourdough, with craft sodas and alcoholic drinks served on the terrace. All three sell the sourdough bread and butter croissants, and the online shop adds loose-leaf tea from Brew Tea & Co, Chai Guys chai and ceremonial matcha.
Its coffee bags come from nine roasters: Tim Wendelboe, La Cabra, Kiss the Hippo, Father Carpenter, Wide Awake, Tanat, Hermanos, DAK and Sip Collective, plus coffee pods. Brewing gear and Loaf merchandise are sold in the same shop.
