Everyday Coffee began in 2013 in a small shop in Collingwood, taken on in the knowledge that the building was to be turned into apartments. In 2018 Everyday signed a lease on a warehouse one street over, which became the home of its roastery and a larger café. The space has been changed step by step as the business grew, and the project is still ongoing. The café opens seven days, serving house-made cabinet items and an ever-changing line-up of coffees roasted in house, with the full retail selection of beans and brewing equipment on the shelves.
Everyday Midtown is the second shop, a busy city room at the base of the Victoria Hotel in the CBD, with the same coffee selection and a Rhonda or a focaccia from the counter. The slogan is “Drink Everyday Coffee. Drink Coffee Everyday.”
On the roasting side, Everyday never carries a huge variety of coffees at one time, preferring to select a small number and buy as much of each as it can for a consistent offering. The range is single origins for filter and espresso, seasonal blends that change four times a year, a decaf and a half-caff, with 3 kg workplace packs and subscriptions of the same coffees. Wholesale partners include bakeries and cafés across Melbourne and regional Victoria, from Monforte Viennoiserie to Falco Bakery. The current retail range is listed below with the roaster’s own tasting notes.
