LOAM is a coffee shop and store in the North Laine, “coffee led, always”, with rotating guest roasters on espresso and filter and buns and cookies baked in the shop.
The roasters change through the year. In 2026 LOAM has poured People Possession’s Blueberry Pie Magic as a guest espresso, a Zennor coffee on the guest espresso in summer, filter coffees from London’s Nostos, and restocks from Boo Coffee Roasters. Module Roast’s numbered releases sit on the retail shelves in 200g boxes, among them a Gesha from La Lucuma in Peru and a Maragesha from Wilder Lazo in Colombia. PLOT Roasting has taken over the bar for a day two years running.
At the 2026 Brighton Coffee Festival LOAM ran a brew bar with prints by House of Quinn on the walls, serving a co-fermented Castillo from Sandbox, Killbean’s El Alisal, Dark Matter Roasters’ Pink Bourbon and PLOT’s Tutti Frutti as a cold brew tonic. A new iced drinks menu arrived in spring 2026, with creamy and fruity drinks alongside the coffee.
