Steam Yard is a coffee shop in a courtyard in the Devonshire Quarter.

The coffee on espresso and filter is from Caravan in London, “our good friends and house roaster”. Steam Yard has its own little supply co bakery, which bakes for the counter and now supplies other coffee shops across the city; the pumpkin pie sold out within an hour the first week it came back. Croissants come from Lovely Rita’s Bakehouse, and the salt beef bagels are built on Best Boy Bagels, with beef cured and slow cooked for four hours, house pickles and American mustard.

Steam Yard has a sister shop, Corner Store, a neighbourhood coffee shop and bakery that turned five in October 2026 and pours Caravan alongside guest roasters. Steam Yard took part in the Sip Coffee Festival, Sheffield’s coffee festival, in autumn 2026. The shop can be hired for small parties and events.
