Dalston Coffee is a specialty coffee brand roasted by hand in Barcelona. It opened its first café in 2017, in the Raval, and also supplies cafés elsewhere in Spain and Europe. The roastery is in La Garriga, north of the city, and the team roasts on Mondays and Wednesdays and ships every week.

The name comes from Dalston, in east London. Founder Borja Roselló made the move from professional cooking to specialty coffee there, and the brand’s concept starts from the neighbourhood’s brick buildings and coloured awnings. The packaging, designed by Íngrid Picanyol, won a Laus Gold award in 2024, and the illustrations on the front of the 250 g “casita” boxes are by the artist Lourenço Providencia. The coffee is packed in compostable bags in two formats, the 250 g box and a 1 kg bag.

Dalston selects its green coffee deliberately, roasts gently in small batches and aims for a clean, pleasant cup. Each lot comes from a specific farm with its origin, variety and processing listed. The online shop separates espresso and filter roasts, with a Specials section, capsules, a monthly subscription and a wholesale page. The current retail range is listed below with the roaster’s own tasting notes.
