Dosis is the café of Mauricio De Luca, a barista with many years in the trade, who opened it in Chamberí as a place to find coffees from around the world roasted by different roasters in Europe and Spain. The concept has been running for almost four years, more coffee professionals have joined, and Dosis has started roasting its own coffees. The coffee is roasted in Madrid, the same coffee served in the Chamberí café, now also for home.

The retail range is short: a Rwandan Bourbon from Gasharu Coffee, the flagship and the coffee Dosis uses in the café every day, two Colombian lots from Huila with experimental processing, and a sugarcane-process decaf. Each is sold as whole beans or ground for espresso, filter, Aeropress, cold brew or moka pot, in 250 g bags and by the kilo.

Beyond coffee, the online shop carries hand and electric grinders, drippers, filters, servers and scales, a ceremonial-grade matcha from Uji, and ceramic cups made by hand in Barcelona, including an anniversary cup for the café’s fourth year. Dosis runs a one-day Barista Bootcamp in Madrid built on latte art, espresso and filter, and a wholesale arm that offers its own coffees, matcha, training, machinery and technical-service contacts to other businesses. Tasting as many European roasters as possible gave Dosis a firm view of which coffees belong in a café, and its prices are meant to match quality rather than be inflated.

The current retail range is listed below with the roaster’s own tasting notes.
