Toma Café’s aim as a roaster is to share a sensory image of the origin, bring the drinker closer to the terroir and the power of its nature, respect the producer’s idea and bring out the sweetness in every roast. The company is Toma Café S.L., registered at the Malasaña café, and its anniversary drip pack, sold with the line “Felices 15 años”, marks fifteen years of the business.

Toma 1 is the Malasaña café, where the company has its registered office. Toma 2 is in Chamberí, and Toma 3 + Proper Sound, also in Chamberí, does coffee collection only, on weekdays. Toma takes a pop-up espresso bar to shop openings, product launches, trade fairs and film shoots, with barista sessions, cuppings, coffee breaks, masterclasses, team building, food styling and a natural wine and hi-fi bar among the services, and a client list that includes Zara, Loewe, Netflix and Madrid Fusión. Wholesale supply comes with set-up help and training for cafés, restaurants, hotels and offices, and a training programme is coming soon.

The online shop sells the coffees by origin with a choice of roast profile and grind, a monthly subscription, a tripack of three 250 g bags chosen by the team, and cold brew in a bag-in-box. The current retail range is listed below with the roaster’s own tasting notes.
