Hola Coffee is a Madrid project dedicated to specialty coffee, started with the intention of bringing good coffee to everyone and looking after each stage from selection at origin to the cup. It has roasted independently in Madrid since 2017. The roastery, academy and headquarters are in Carabanchel, and there are two cafés, one in Lavapiés and one in Salamanca. For Hola, a coffee is only special if you can share it.

The coffee roasted daily at the roastery is served in the three Madrid sites, supplied to cafés, hotels, restaurants and offices, and shipped online. Hola roasts to bring out the particular character of each farm, variety and growing method, with a commitment to sustainability, traceability and the producing communities. The company is the La Marzocco partner and representative for Spain and Portugal, advises new businesses on setting up and equipping a bar, trains their staff, and builds coffee corners for fairs and festivals.

Hola Academy runs courses for baristas and workshops for enthusiasts, taught by a training team with more than ten years in the trade, with Hola’s own certificates or the option of a Specialty Coffee Association certificate. The current list runs from a tasting with the Hola team and workshops on filter, latte art and home espresso to professional barista courses, an intensive barista bootcamp and Water and Coffee classes by Dara Santana. Hola’s values are enjoyment, simplicity and inclusivity, and for Hola specialty coffee should not be elitist.

The current retail range is listed below with the roaster’s own tasting notes.
