Tiba is a coffee shop in the Haut Marais that does not roast. The tagline is “Exploring coffee”. It is an intimate coffee destination gathering creativity and craft; it looks for roasters from all over the world with a real concern for quality and sourcing, and wants to cultivate experience around seasonal drinks and coffee tasting. The interior architecture and design are by HYPNOS XP. The company is TIBA COFFEE & CO.
The roasters are Goût & Co, Terraform, Kolibri and Mellow. The origins on the shelf are Colombia, Ethiopia, Kenya and Panama, with Terraform supplying most of the Ethiopian and Kenyan lots, Goût & Co and Mellow the geishas from Panama and Colombia. Each bag is sold with the roaster’s own notes and a roast profile marked filter, espresso or milk. Tiba has also started commissioning coffees of its own. Kolibri roasts a Special Tiba Blend called Berry Fields, two washed and co-fermented Colombian lots, the house milk blend, and a Terraform x Tiba box holds three 16 g bags of Alo coffees from Sidamo, two washed and one anaerobic natural, all roasted for filter.
There is also a Hario tie-in, with the V60 dripper made for the brewer’s 20th anniversary in the Colors of Japan series. Online, Tiba sells the bags alongside brewing equipment, scales, grinders, drippers and AeroPress, and ships by Mondial Relay to France and nine other European countries. The coffee is roasted by Goût & Co, Terraform, Kolibri and Mellow; Tiba does not roast.
