White Label Coffee is a specialty coffee roaster from Amsterdam, “for the diversity of coffee”, roasting to highlight each coffee’s natural diversity and committed to quality, openness and cooperation through the whole chain.
Since April 2019 White Label has roasted every coffee one way, whatever the brew method. After two years of cupping its espresso roasts beside its filter roasts, it found that each could learn from the other, settled on a single curve for each coffee and took the filter and espresso labels off its bags. It sells only single origins, because the coffees in a blend cannot all be extracted equally well at one grind setting.
The roastery is in Bos en Lommer and ships webshop orders every weekday. The two cafés, White Label West in Amsterdam-West and White Label Noord across the IJ, are open daily and offer reusable containers called fluffies, on a deposit, beside the retail bags. Native in Haarlem has its own White Label email address and is a wholesale client, alongside Black Gold, Choux and Volkshotel in Amsterdam and bars in Utrecht, Breda, Delft and beyond. Wholesale comes with advice on equipment and staff training.
The current retail range is listed below with the roaster’s own tasting notes.
