640East is an all-day neighbourhood café and bar in the heart of Canary Wharf, East London, serving specialty coffee and craft beer from the morning espresso to the evening pint. It has two sites. In Wood Wharf, a cosy café and bar runs from the morning coffee to after-work drinks. On Montgomery Square, just outside the Jubilee line station, two upcycled shipping containers hold a café and a bar, an urban space for a coffee or a beer on the go.
The beer comes from independent breweries such as Five Points, DEYA and Pillars. Montgomery Square takes bookings for groups of 10 to 100 people. The Wood Wharf site runs on walk-ins, with a big sharing table that can be reserved in the evenings, and both sites take enquiries for private hire.
For its coffee, 640East works closely with Assembly Coffee, the Brixton roaster, drawing on roasters from London and Europe.
