WatchHouse Covent Garden stands in central London, between the Strand and Covent Garden Market. It is one of the Brunch Houses of WatchHouse, the London coffee roaster that opened its first House in a Bermondsey watch house in 2014 and roasts its own coffee in London and New York.

The café is set up for both dining in and a quick coffee break. The bar runs a Slayer Steam LPx espresso machine, a custom brew bar and a 3Temp Hipster brewer for filter, the same set-up as the nearby Seven Dials House. Batch brew is poured from WatchHouse’s Rituals, Ventures and Horizons collections. The kitchen serves a full brunch menu seven days a week, with the breakfast classics and seasonal plates of every Brunch House in a modern take: poached eggs on thick-cut sourdough, eggs Benedict and Royale on an English muffin, the Full House and Veg House plates, pancakes and tiramisu French toast made with House bakery brioche.

The design draws on the linear, grid-like fronts of the surrounding buildings. Inside, the surfaces are textured, the palette is deep red and olive green in glossy finishes, and wood, glass and stone tiles soften the room. There is outdoor seating, and dogs are welcome. The coffee shop also takes private bookings of up to 45 guests.
