Workshop Coffee has been part of London’s coffee scene since 2011 and its roasting style is clean, sweet and fresh: the roaster’s role is not to impose flavour but to reveal it. It sources from producers, exporters and cooperatives it has often worked with for years, and supplies homes, hotels, cafés, restaurants and workplaces in the UK and abroad. Workshop began as a roastery with cafés, then concentrated on roasting and wholesale. The Workshop Cafe & Academy in Belgravia, opened in February 2026, is its return to bricks and mortar in London.
The café sits a short walk from Victoria Station and near Eccleston Yards, and the room is designed for quick visits and longer stays. The bar serves seasonal single origins, the house espresso Article, a rotating selection of filter coffees brewed to order and Pinnacle releases, Workshop’s rare lots. A seasonal food menu runs from breakfast to lunch, and in the evening the room becomes an aperitivo bar with wine, Champagne and cocktails. There is a terrace outside. The café is led by Slava Babych, head barista and lead trainer and a former World Cezve/Ibrik Champion, with José Cortes, formerly of The Fat Duck Group, as general manager. The interior was developed with George Cosby Studio and built by 3Stories, and follows the packaging: terracotta for single origins, Workshop green for house blends.
Beneath the café, the Workshop Training Academy hosts masterclasses, monthly origin cuppings, tastings and professional training, from SCA foundation courses to advanced classes. Workshop Rewards members collect points online and in the café. The current retail range is listed below with the roaster’s own tasting notes.
