Roger and Jack opened Store Street Espresso in Bloomsbury, central London, in 2010. By its own account it was one of the first coffee shops in London to join the specialty wave, and among the first to feature guest roasters.
The coffee beans come from Square Mile. A selection of guest coffees runs alongside them, and the shop invites roasteries to get in touch to arrange sample deliveries. House-made cakes and lunch dishes are served with the coffee.
There are four locations. The original Store Street Espresso, which gave the business its name, is a sit-down coffee shop in Bloomsbury. Continental Stores, also in Bloomsbury, serves brunch all week. The Bishopsgate shop in the City of London is set up for quick takeaway coffee. The Hammersmith shop in West London doubles as a quiet coworking space.
